Y2FINAL MAJOR PROJECT: BALLAD OF ECHOES
This extended music video is the product of my Final Major Project, which is thesole contributor to my final grade for this course (achieving a destinction). This project is a showcase of everything I have learnt throughout the Lens Based Media course and the culmination of my passion for film production and music.
The music video incorporates elements of performance and narrative, exploring themes of friendship and mental health. The music is an instrumental piece written and performed by myself, utilising instruments such as an acoustic guitar and a keyboard.

This is a trailer for a fictional postmodern film festival. I gathered clips from various different postmodern films and edited them together into a short one minute trailer, with the aim of promoting the film festival.

For this project, I was part of a team of three people. Our aim was to contact a small, local band and produce a music video for a track of their choice. We all had individual roles as a group and I was director and editor, meaning I was responsible for the organising of group meetings and band shoots, as well as editing the footage into a music video.
The song’s genre is punk metal which is portrayed through the destorted visuals and fast cuts of the music video.

This is a title sequence for a made-up film. The genre of film that I chose was psychological thriller. I chose this genre because of its unique story-telling, allowing my creativity to thrive. This genre is portrayed through the use of low-camera angles, dark and blurred visuals, and depressing music as it evokes a sense of mystery and unease, forcing the audience to question the scene.
